Hello, and thank you for visiting the Sylvan Designs website.

I started dressmaking as a teenager, making my own patterns and subsequent 'creations'. I then went on to make soft furnishings as an adult for the many homes that we renovated and built over the years. This love of textiles and design led me to complete a Diploma in Curtain Making &  Soft Furnishings.

As I am a sole trader, all my clients are guaranteed my personal attention; from discussing initial ideas and designs, right through to choosing fabric and the installation of your final window dressing.

All curtains and blinds are hand-made using traditional, professional construction techniques **.

Attention to detail ensures that our clients get a high quality, unique product that off-the-shelf window dressing cannot match.
